The Children’s Inn at NIH CSC Event

Families will not be having dinner on September 25, the new date is Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Please join us on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 as we provide a meal for the 50-70 families staying at The Children’s Inn at NIH. These family dinners allow The Inn residents to relax, while alleviating the worries of transportation, grocery shopping, and the hassle of preparing a meal after a long day of traveling or spending hours at the hospital with a sick child.

The Children’s Inn is a caring place to be—a place to relax with other families that are undergoing serious medical treatment. After long travels, families are often tired and ready for a home-cooked meal. The Inn invites different groups and organizations to provide a large meal for all of the families. This is also an opportunity for them to meet, mingle, and interact with other families, creating an environment of mutual support and caring.

The volunteers will prepare and serve the meal. The Community Services Committee is collecting monetary donations to cover the cost of the meals. Want to donate towards the cost of the meal? Vicki Johnson & Associates has generously offered to match cash donations up to $500.
