PCMA Goes To the Dogs!

Register today and join the Community Services Committee by volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) on Monday, July 10th, to make toys for the dogs in the shelter. HRA never turns a DC animal away, and with more than 30 animals arriving each day, they always need toys to keep the animals engaged and at their most adoptable. We are collecting t-shirts and socks at the Capital Chapter events and they will be used to make rope toys for the animals.

At the end of our project, we will receive a private tour of the Adoption Center and share the toys we made with the dogs! We will also be reading to the cats in Kitty City, which is remarkably effective at inducing relaxed cat naps.

The Louisville CVB will sponsor non-alcoholic drinks and snacks for all volunteers to enjoy after making the dog toys. This event is free to all PCMA Capital Chapter members and guests.

Please consider donating to the Humane Rescue Alliance in place of a registration fee.
