Tuesday, September 11th is National Day of Service and Remembrance
That day, the AARP Foundation is leading a Summer of Service to Seniors via a “Meal Pack Challenge”, with a goal to assemble 1,000,000 meals for hungry seniors in major metro areas throughout the U.S. We invite you to join your fellow PCMA Capital Chapter volunteers on the National Mall, where we will show our collective support in working together on the assembly line.
We are targeting two 90 minute shifts: 1:30 – 3:00 pm and 3:00 – 4:30 pm; join us for one or both shifts to be a part of this great initiative! There is no cost to participate; just bring your enthusiasm and commitment to work!
Metro: Smithsonian (Orange, Blue, Silver)
Parking: limited metered street parking
Where to meet: Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your shift at the S. Dillon Ripley Center entrance. We will then walk over as a group (2 minute walk to 12th and Jefferson Drive SW)
*Please note this event is not limited to PCMA members, invite your family and friends to join. Everyone must individually register and read/acknowledge the waiver.
