32nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

It’s now been 32 years since this landmark law was passed. It affirms and protects the fundamental rights of people with disabilities — the right to equal opportunity, economic self-sufficiency, independent living, and equitable participation in every aspect of American life.

The DEI committee for the PCMA Capital Chapter is undertaking a review of our ADA compliance procedures and this may be a good time for your organization to do the same.

Since July marks the 32nd anniversary of the passing of this legislation, we can all commemorate that by:

  • Sharing what the ADA means to you, have fun and be creative
  • Using any media of your choice (video, picture, written word, or other)
  • Posting to social media with #ThanksToTheADA and #PCMACC
