It’s now been 32 years since this landmark law was passed. It affirms and protects the fundamental rights of people with disabilities — the right to equal opportunity, economic self-sufficiency, independent living, and equitable participation in every aspect of American life.
The DEI committee for the PCMA Capital Chapter is undertaking a review of our ADA compliance procedures and this may be a good time for your organization to do the same.
Since July marks the 32nd anniversary of the passing of this legislation, we can all commemorate that by:
- Sharing what the ADA means to you, have fun and be creative
- Using any media of your choice (video, picture, written word, or other)
- Posting to social media with #ThanksToTheADA and #PCMACC
