On a Mission to Reach Out and Influence our Future Leaders

The EPC team is off to a strong start in 2019! Thus far we have conducted four University panel visits and hosted one student tour at a local area hotel.  Our committee believes that one of the biggest ways to make an impact on the future of our industry is to build relationships with students of Hospitality.  The Outreach team has been hard at work visiting the campus of Marymount University and connecting with students in the School of Business, Technology and students enrolled in an Event Planning as well as students enrolled in the schools Introduction to Sales Skills.  Lastly, Emerging Professionals Committee’s own Jessica Baker hosted a group of inspiring students enrolled in Penn State University’s School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management for a full tour of the Gaylord National Convention Center.

We wrapped up our Spring semester panels on Tuesday, April 23rd at James Madison University. Four panelists shared their experiences and career advice with 45 students enrolled in the Introduction to Event Management class at the Universities Hart School of Hospitality, Recreation and Sport Management.
