As members of the events industry, rarely do we hear each other use words like chill, relax, or rest. Especially today, with business being back and busier than ever.
Regardless, to show up as our best selves, we must take care of ourselves and managing stress plays a huge role in this.
If you find yourself experiencing stress, here are some proven ways to quickly find your chill:
- Step up – Take a break and go for a walk outside. Fresh air and nature’s backdrop cues immediate relaxation.
- Make gratitude your attitude – Jot down three things you are grateful for. Before you know it, your mindset will shift because you’re now focusing on life’s positives versus its challenges.
- Hit the gym – We know, we know. But let’s admit it: we all feel great (and accomplished!) post-workout.
- Just breathe – When you need quick relief, taking a few deep breaths will instantly slow down your heart rate and center you.
What’s important to remember when dealing with stress is that you are in control, you’re strong and you got this. So, let’s start finding our chill everyone!
