Join us for an afternoon of farming, as we once again partner with DC Greens at the K St. Farm in the heart of Washington, D.C. The farm is a 3/4 acre plot located adjacent to the Walker Jones Education Campus, a Pre-K – 8th grade D.C. Public School. This Educational farm is managed and maintained by DC Greens as a unique resource for Walker Jones teachers, students, families, and the surrounding community. K Street Farm is a professional development training site for DC Greens’ network of school garden coordinators from all eight wards of the city. Production from the farm goes to supply a network of DC School Garden Markets, student-run farmer’s markets.
We will be post-winter revitalizing and prepping the farm for spring planting, followed by our own on the farm “happy hoeing hour” reception!
Parking:
The Farm is on the corner of K Street and New Jersey Ave, NW. There is a parking entrance off of L Street.
