October Community Service Project
October 2 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
Did you know the Humane Rescue Alliance provides care and comfort to over 60,000 animals annually?
The Humane Rescue Alliance provides the DC area with all aspects of animal care, from providing quality, affordable medical services to creating families with each adoption. Most importantly, they tenaciously protect and advocate for the animals in our community, and support and celebrate people’s love and compassion for them.
Please join us on Wednesday, October 2 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm as we make dog toys, read to and be a calming presence for the cats, take a private tour of the adoption center, meet the adoptable animals and hand-out treats and the toys you just made to the dogs. Afterwards, volunteers nominate animals and vote on whom to sponsor!
If you cannot attend this on-site opportunity but would still like to participate, please bring one of the following food items to an upcoming PCMACC education/networking event.
- Dog treats (not food)
- Cat treats (not food)
We will also be collecting monetary donations for the Humane Rescue Alliance, make donations directly here.
