Everyone wants to belong and be part of something. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented that from happening. Instead, it made many of us feel isolated, alone, and unsure how to navigate persistent uncertainty at work and in our personal lives. So many in our industry have lost what they thought was their life’s profession or have had to make several sacrifices to stay on the same career path. But we are much more than what we do. And much more than what we’ve become.
Join the PCMA Capital Chapter on June 29th from 2:30pm – 6:30pm for our first ever SPARKLER event.
Our panel of hospitality professionals will share their stories of how they are adjusting to the changing dynamics of our industry. They’ll address the stigma of mental health within cultures, the workplace and themselves. We’ll then break into small groups to discuss practical application of these principles, how to transition back to the workplace and face-to-face events, and how to be mindful of how the pandemic has impacted each of us differently.
Joining us will be Shelley Brown, author of Weird Girl Adventures and a self-proclaimed “Belonging Ambassador”. Shelley will take us on her journey of being Weird (Welcoming, Engaging, Integration, Risk taking, Dynamic) and how we can apply this principle as we discover ways to adjust to what our lives have become.
