What is it like to serve as a PCMA Committee Chair or Co-Chair?
“Serving as the Chair of the Membership Committee has allowed me to collaborate and communicate with our Board, Committee Leaders, Volunteers and most importantly, our Members. I have volunteered as a Committee Member in the past, but being a Chair has allowed me to gain in depth knowledge and insight of how our Capital Chapter runs successfully!”
– Damara Gomez, Membership Committee Chair
“After serving one year on the Professional Development Committee, I took a big leap and stepped into the Chair role. As a supplier, it has challenged me to shift my perspective and see our industry through a planner’s gaze and what topics are important to them. With three major educational programs, a webinar, and our half-day SPARK program, this role has challenged me to delegate and empower the committee members. We have a great committee, and I try hard to make sure that every member has a chance to shine with our events.”
– Will Trokey, Professional Development Committee Chair
